Schedule a Conversation

Pick the conversation that fits.

Five different meeting types. Each has its own agenda and prep list. All of them are thirty minutes, and none of them creates an advisory relationship on their own.

Employer 401(k) conversation

Who this is for: Owners, HR leaders, CFOs, controllers, or benefits committee members responsible for an existing 401(k) plan.

What we’ll discuss: What’s working with your current plan, what isn’t, whether a formal plan review would answer the questions on your desk. Fee ballparks, service model, fiduciary process, employee engagement.

What to prepare: Nothing required. If you have your Form 5500, 408(b)(2) fee disclosure, or current advisor’s last review handy, that helps — but we can start without them.

Important: An introductory conversation does not create an advisory relationship. Any advisory engagement is documented separately, in writing.

Startup 401(k) conversation

Who this is for: Owners or executives at growing companies considering starting a first 401(k) plan.

What we’ll discuss: Whether a plan makes sense right now, provider options, design considerations (Safe Harbor, matching, auto-enrollment), employer costs, and eligibility for SECURE Act 2.0 startup tax credits.

What to prepare: Rough employee count and payroll platform. That’s enough.

Important: An introductory conversation does not create an advisory relationship. Tax-credit references are general and depend on eligibility rules — consult your tax advisor.

Retirement planning conversation

Who this is for: Individuals or couples within about ten years of retirement, recently retired, or leaving a long-term employer.

What we’ll discuss: What you have, what you’re trying to figure out, and whether formal retirement planning would help. Income planning, Social Security timing, 401(k) decisions, healthcare before Medicare, Roth conversions — whichever of these are on your mind.

What to prepare: Nothing required. Rough numbers in your head are enough.

Important: An introductory conversation does not create an advisory relationship. Any advisory engagement is documented separately, in writing.

Business owner planning conversation

Who this is for: Business owners coordinating personal and business financial decisions.

What we’ll discuss: Personal cash flow, retirement plan design, tax coordination with your CPA, concentration risk, insurance, and eventual exit planning. Wherever the biggest gap is, we start there.

What to prepare: Nothing required. It helps if you can describe your entity structure and rough revenue in one sentence.

Important: An introductory conversation does not create an advisory relationship. Austin does not provide tax or legal advice.

Professional introduction

Who this is for: CPAs, attorneys, benefits brokers, TPAs, and other professionals who may have clients who fit Austin’s practice.

What we’ll discuss: Your client base, where our services overlap, how a coordinated referral relationship would work in practice, and what communication back to you looks like when we’re working with a shared client.

What to prepare: A rough sense of the typical client you’d refer.

Important: This is a professional introduction, not a client engagement. Any specific client referral is handled under standard information-sharing consent.
